Top Gun Police Motor Officers' Competition is organized by the Blue Knights® Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Colorado Chapter I and is chaired by Douglas Brown, retired Colorado State Patrol sergeant Kevin Ratzell and retired Phoenix Police officer/former Arapahoe County deputy Rick Ebersole. This year’s 24th anniversary edition will offer all new courses with both slow and, for the first time in Top Gun history, higher speed obstacles. This course will definitely challenge both rider and machine. This year we are also issuing a challenge to winners of similar competitions across the nation to come and compete to see how they stack up with our riders.
Competitors are encouraged to attend on Saturday, June 1, 2013 to preview this year's course and practice prior to the judged competition held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013. We're also planning a new feature on Saturday, after the practice sessions. For those who can, or may wish to participate, we'll go on a short, escorted "fun ride" to Lookout Mountain and possibly Red Rocks Park for some views overlooking Denver and end back at the event site.
In past years, officers from across the nation, as well as Canada and Mexico, have competed in front of friends, family and the general public. Spectator admission is free. Vendors, food and informational booths create a festival atmosphere which is irresistible to the biker in us all.
